We hope you
have found the website helpful to discover a
little bit about who we are and what we are all about. We also hope that
you’ll
take a chance and visit us in person! For many people going to a new
church (or
any church at all) can be an uncomfortable experience, so we thought
we’d try
to ease that by telling you a little bit about what you can expect on
any given
Sunday.
First of all,
you may be wondering what you should wear. The
simple answer is wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. Some people
dress
casual and some people dress up. Either way, all people are welcome to
come as
they are.
When you
arrive, there is plenty of parking in the front lot
of Conard High School. As you make your way into the front of the
building you
will see a Calvary Fellowship banner letting you know you’re in the
right
place.
As you step
inside, you will be welcomed by one of our
friendly greeters and given a program with message notes, announcements,
etc.
so you’ll know what’s going on. As you walk down the hall, you’ll find
the
auditorium where we hold our services on the right.
If you have a child or children, you’ll want to keep
going past
the auditorium to our children’s check-in station. There you will be
instructed
on Calvary Kids’ secure check-in and check-out procedures, which are
designed
to insure the safety of your children. So you can relax and enjoy the
service,
while your children learn and have fun in age-appropriate environments.
If you
don’t feel comfortable leaving your children at Calvary Kids, we do have
an
alternative family area where you can remain with your children and
watch the
service via high definition video. (Click here more info on Calvary
Kids.)
Once you make your way into the auditorium, an
usher will
help you find a seat. Services usually begin with a few worship songs.
Our
music is very contemporary, and we encourage you to sing along or just
enjoy
the music. After that, we go over a few announcements before the
message. Our
messages are designed to be biblically based, thought provoking and
relevant to
every day life. After that we have a time of response, which includes
one last
song. And that’s it! Services usually run 1 hour and 15 minutes.
After service, we encourage everyone who can to
join us in
the cafeteria for free Dunkin Donuts coffee and some great refreshments.
